Pakistan raced to 100 runs in 16.4 balls
Pakistan's hitters came out swinging on day two of the second Test in Colombo after they bowled Sri Lanka out in two sessions, marking a significant turning point in their Test history.
The fastest team hundred scored by Pakistan in a first innings in a Test match in the twenty-first century came from 100 runs in 16.4 balls
Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood persisted in attacking and kept the run rate above six despite losing Imam ul Haq when the team score was 13.
Shafique reached his fifty-run milestone in just 49 balls, and Shan Masood continued to score runs at a strike rate of over 100. Masood needed just 44 balls to reach his fifty.
Both Shan and Shafique completed their century partnership in just 103 balls, which is their first in Test cricket.
